Tears of Beauty Ara Malikian dirige a la Non Profit Music Chamber Orchestra |
This ambitious project, subsidized by the Consejería de Cultura y Deportes of the Comunidad de Madrid, means the presentation of the Non Profit Music Chamber Orchestra. Conducted by the prestigious violinist Ara Malikian, it tries to move the public which is not familiar with instrumental contemporary music. The CD includes works by Attenberg, Hurd, Pärt, Shostakovitch, Finzi, Johnstone, Iglesias, Grundman and Umebayashi. Its prologue has been written by Álvaro Marías, Professor of Recorder at the Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid and conductor of the Zarabanda baroque music ensemble. The CD has been published by Warner Music Spain.
